Are you aware of who and what you are?  I mean truly aware.  At one time you were.  Perhaps it was another lifetime.  This is what seeking the truth is all about, being aware of your magnificence.  Do you remember?

My Thanksgiving message summed it up quite nicely.  If you can stop what you are doing long enough to feel the warmth on your back, stop just long enough to be aware of its presence, even if just for a moment, you will remember.  You will drop your load of sticks and turn around.  You might decide to pick your sticks up again and continue down the path, that’s your choice, but you will do so knowing who and what you are.  You will do so knowing the way Home.

When you boil it all down, it’s the Speak Your Truth message from last week as well.  Turning all your decisions over to your True Self for a day allows you to slow down and become aware of what you are doing.  It gives you the break you need to become aware of the warmth on your back, the Love and Light that shows you the way Home.

Its just that simple, and just that hard.  Most of us spend a lifetime creating a persona, an illusion of who and what we are.  It’s comfortable, it’s familiar, it’s safe.  All those dry brown sticks placed just so.  The problem is that it’s a lie.  We are not a pile of sticks, even if they are placed just so.  We are not the product of a lifetime of judgments, all piled on top of each other until we can’t see the path before us.  The voices of your fellow travelers are telling you to soldier on, the only way to protect yourself from the evils of the world is with more sticks. Those voices are just plain wrong.  They are simply afraid, scared to drop even one stick, and they are afraid of being wrong, they are afraid of being alone.  That’s why they call for you to join them.

That’s the truth of it all.  No one wants to play the fool.  No one wants to admit they are struggling under a load of useless judgments.  No one wants to admit they might die alone in a cell of their own making.

That warmth on your back tells you it will all be OK.  The awareness of who and what you truly are can never leave you.  Take a break.  Do it today.  Put down your sticks, turn around and let the Love and Light radiating from your Source warm your face.  Feel the magnificence of all that you are fill your being this day.  Your pile of sticks will be there waiting for you tomorrow and the day after that.
