During Easter week, the message of suffering, dying for the sins of others, and rising from the dead surrounds us all.  It is a message of fear, control, retribution and helplessness.  It sells well and has great influence with the masses.  Fortunately, however, it is not true!

The truth is far greater than this traditional story of sin and suffering.  Jesus did not suffer torture and death to pay for your sins.  The guilt of such a promise is unfathomable!  Would a loving God put such guilt on her creation?  Would a God of unconditional Love create a world of free will and then punish those that used it?

No, the Jesus story teaches that all of us, every one of us is the same.  We are all Holy Children of God and as such the torture and injustice of this world does not and cannot affect us outside of this illusory world.  We are within God just as God is within each of us; we are immortal and cannot be harmed in anyway.

The absolute worse punishment and torture known to the Roman world was inflicted on Jesus and it did not harm him.  He walked away because the “real” Jesus, the Higher Self, cannot be harmed.  That is the story of Easter!  To “rise from the dead” means to rise from our own illusions to be awakened or reborn to the truth of our being.  Jesus did this to demonstrate this Truth – it does not apply to just him, this Truth applies to all of us.  Even you!

You are not helpless and subject to torture, suffering or being controlled by your “sins”.  This is all the illusion of this world, created by our collective egos and without value.  The Easter story is one of great joy and a reminder that as a Holy Child of God, you are without sin, and God, himself, is not complete without you.  This is the Jesus story.

Drop your guilt and your sins, for they have no value.  Allow the Love and Light of Creation to flow through you as it did Jesus and be glad.  You are known to God just as you are and God is well pleased!
