We are faced with seemingly intolerable situations on a daily basis.  The push and pull of everyday life multiplied by a pandemic, presidential election and an uncertain economic future.  Just this morning I had a great meditation, was balanced, and seeing the world through the eyes of enlightenment.  Then I walked outside…

Now I sit at a local coffee shop eating chocolate cake.  Gotta do what you gotta do!  No matter how much meditation we do, it all seems to fall apart as soon as we walk back into the “real world“.  For me, this happens whenever I refuse to accept the situation I find myself in.  Therein lies the problem.

It’s not a matter of accepting or not accepting the situation, it’s a matter of removing yourself from the situation. I don’t mean physically, although that’s never a bad idea.  I mean energetically or spiritually.

I know – Let go and let God, we have heard it all before.  Those words sometimes seem to belittle the situation.  It just ain’t that simple!

And it’s not.  It’s not about simply handing off everything to some old man with a beard.  It’s about understanding your true magnificence and then believing it is true.  It is about you seeing, understanding, and remembering your existence from the perspective of your higher self and then conducting yourself in a manner consistent with that perspective.

Anyone that has walked the walk will tell you it’s not easy. Why do you think the wise ones are all hiding in a cave or on top of a mountain!

Everyone must find their own way.  No shortcuts, no magic words.  We all have to get our knees skinned along the path of remembering who we are.  The following truths will help ease the pain along the way:

You are an eternal being.  Let that sink in, an eternal being.  Do you grasp the enormity of that statement?  You are and always will be, not in your present earth suit, but as a loving life force of Creation.  From the perspective of eternity, does it really matter if you don’t “get it right” on any given day in this lifetime?

You are a part of the Creator and the Creator is a part of you.  It is up to you to remember this absolute truth.  Push through the veil, the mist, the wool before your eyes.  See and remember.  You are a magnificent being of Light in your own right.  We all are.  Sometimes we forget and yes, sometimes we show our backsides, we all do.  That doesn’t change who you are.  It can’t, no matter what you do.  This puts the prodigal son story in context, don’t you think?

— This is all about raising your core vibration.  To put it in terms of the chakras, it is about focusing on your 4th chakra or higher.  Most of this world swirls around in the first three chakras of existence.  By focusing your being in higher vibrational energy, you open yourself to a different understanding of the reality before you.  If you could see light outside of the spectrum of the human eye or hear sounds outside of the spectrum of the human ear, your view of reality would change dramatically.  Focusing your energy in the 4th chakra or higher is no different.  Truths become obvious to you that others cannot see.  The drama of daily life becomes as silly as the tantrum of a 3-year-old.

These three points are not all-inclusive, but they are a good start.  You are a Holy Child of the Creator. As such, you are eternal and if you chose to explore your own magnificence, you will raise your vibration to the point that you will perceive and understand reality much differently.  In the process, you will also help raise the vibration of those around you.  This is the goal of all spiritual seekers, yogis included.  As such, you are in the best of company.

Sometimes we all need that piece of chocolate cake.  That’s more than OK, that’s part of your magnificent Self!  Remember your magnificence and step away from the drama that is before you.  Effect change, not by challenging those you disagree with but by sharing your chocolate cake.  Radiate the Love and Light of your True Being to all you walk with.

Now we are doing yoga…
