This is the Japanese word for crisis.  Kiki.  However, the translation is not that simple.  It translates as “danger occasion” but it also translates as “danger opportunity”.

It’s a wonderful word.  It reminds us that there is indeed opportunity in every occurrence.  We can react to each occurrence in our lives with fear or we can react by finding the opportunity that exist.  The occurrence is the same, it is how one reacts that reveals the spiritual seeker.

May your next Kiki open doors to wonderful opportunities!
