Live your life to the fullest!  What does that mean?  For starters, it means don’t live the life your mother or father wants you to live.  Certainly not the life your friends or your spouse wants you to live.  Live the life that you want to live.  Only do those things that make your heart sing!  Yes, that’s for starters, but it’s deeper than that.

I was a medical product liability trial lawyer for almost 30 years.  I sued drug companies.  I have participated in legal proceedings in almost every state in the country.  I lived the law 7 days a week and that was a good thing.  I was doing something that helped my fellow man and maybe I made the world a little bit safer.  It made my heart sing, but I was not fully living life.  I was fully living only a part of my life.

I spent 2 to 3 nights a week on the road.  Airplane, hotel, courtroom, and back to the airplane.  I can describe the major airports in the country in great detail, but outside of the courthouses, I can tell you very little about the cities.  I rarely took the time to explore my surrounding.  Even when I was in a city for weeks at a time,  I spent the majority of my “off” time working.  Perhaps it was my protestant work ethic, but I failed to live in the now.

The now is all there is.  The present moment is the only life we have.  The past is no more and the future has yet to arrive.  To worry about either is to shift your focus and your energy to something that does not exist.

Yes, we all have a purpose in this life.  We chose this existence, but to live it fully we must do 3 things.

  1. First and most importantly, live in the only moment where your life exists.  The here and now.  Be present always.  The future will come soon enough and the past is just that.
  2. The second is to embrace each moment fully, allow yourself to get lost in each moment.  Greet each moment with curiosity and wonder.  Focus on and do only those things that resonate with you.
  3. If one and two are followed, your purpose will present itself and you will be immersed in Love and Light.

I have experienced only fleeting moments of the magic that comes from following these steps, but the more you focus on these steps, the more those moments come.

Live your life to the fullest, come what may.  Radiate only Love to all that walk with you.  Remember the magnificence of who you are as a child of All That Is.

Now we are doing yoga…
