I have been sad this last week.  Profoundly sad.  I am sad because I am witnessing humanity teach itself to be afraid of itself.  Children are wearing masks in their own homes.  Many cower or nervously scurry away at the approach of a stranger.  It tears me up emotionally to see what humanity has become.  So afraid of itself, that it has convinced the majority that symbolic measures will protect all from whatever evils lurk around the corner.  No more warm embrace, no more exchange of love and kindness from a smile or tender touch.  So absorbed with fear that some scream at those that get to close.

This sadness has obsessed my thoughts all week.  But then, just this morning, the Universe spoke, as it always does if we will just listen.  If we will simply shut up long enough and step away from our own self-absorption, the answers will come.

The Universe told me that I am wrong.  No pat on the back for being a sensitive old soul, just the cold hard truth.  I am wrong.  I am passing judgment.  I am attaching a condition to my love of humanity.  I will be sad unless humanity changes its behavior.  Do you see the foolishness and selfishness of conditional love?

Humanity is not wrong, for it is a creation of and by those within it.  It is consistent with the wishes of those that create it.  It is as it should be.  It is my perception of the situation that is wrong, but even that misplaced perception is a gift to grow and deepen my understanding of Creation.

This situation that we find ourselves in is a grand opportunity to expand our perception of ourselves as human beings.  Individually we are so much more than the bag of bones we call our bodies.  Each one of us projects an energy field, our real “bodies” within this existence, at least 30 feet in all directions.  (For any doubting Thomas out there, yes, science confirms this). The more conscious one is of this energy body, or mer-ka-ba, the more energy that can be directed and focused to that energy body.  Just being in the presence of spiritual masters with a well-developed energy body brings joy, peace, and wellbeing.  No hug, handshake, or elbow bump needed.

We all radiate Love naturally.  How far we radiate depends on our awareness, our focus and our intent.  Use this situation that humanity has created to consciously radiate Love and Light to those around you.  Look into the eyes of those you encounter and send them all the Love you have to melt their fear and anxiety.  Envision yourself giving that warm embrace or tender touch.  Do so without judgment or condition of any kind, just Love and Light being shared.

You have the power to do this.  It is not imagination or empty thoughts.  Remember when you have felt warm and safe just being in the presence of another.  This is no different.  Whether you are 3 feet away, 30 feet or 300 feet, it makes no difference.

What matters is you.  Your awareness of who you are.  Your mental focus and clarity of thought without judgment.  Your intent as a part of the All that is Creation.

Use this time as an opportunity to deepen your understanding of who you are as a beacon of Love and Light.  Accept Love when it is given to you and radiate only Love to all those that you encounter.  Know that by changing your perception you are bringing more Love and Light into the creation we call humanity.

Now we are doing yoga….
