Pretty radical statement.  Let me explain.  Yes, we have individual bodies and to a certain extent, each of our realities is unique and individual.  Yet none of us are individual forces that have forged our own way, against all odds with no one to thank but our own cunning, intelligence and fortitude.  Yes, we all have a little ego, a little narcissist in us, but in reality, the narcissistic “I” does not exist.

You, as you sit right now are a product of what?  What events in your life created the you that now exist?  Were you born into a wealthy family that has always supplied your every want and need?  Perhaps you are from a broken family that forced you to grow up early and take on responsibilities that were not properly yours to shoulder.  Or maybe your family turned their backs on you at an early age and you grew up on the street.  Obviously, the list is endless, but you get the point.  We are all a product, a patchwork, of our past experiences and the people we came in contact with.  Some good, some bad, but all of them helped to shape and influence every belief and action we take today.  Can’t be any other way.

So when you say “I” created whatever reality or achievement that exists in your life, did you really?  Each and every action you take, every thought you have is a culmination of the influence of every thought and action you have previously been a part of.  There is no way to count that mile of life walked without acknowledging every step.  Each one of us is a soul collective, albeit a unique one, of each and every other soul collective that has walked with us on this journey, even if only for 1 or 2 steps.  Are you still with me?

By definition, there is no “I”.  There can never be an “I” as we perceive that concept except for the I AM which encompasses all that is.  There can only be “we”.  Accordingly, I can have no opinions and I can take no actions.  Only the soul collective of all the input that has been garnered in this life can take action and espouse opinion.  Only the collective “we” can start or finish anything

The greeting Namaste recognizes this truth of our existence.  “The Light in me recognizes that same Light in you”.  It is that Light that is the foundation of each soul collective.  As you walk through this life, remember that you are a mighty collective of countless other soul collectives that created your existence at this moment in time.  You are not alone.  You are not a frail wisp of consciousness that is blown about by the winds of this world.  You are an integral part of the Whole,  created by the input of a multitude of soul consciousnesses before you.

Take comfort in the knowing that you are not alone.  You have never been alone and you will never be alone.  You are simply riding a wave of consciousness that has risen out of the sea of life as a result of the efforts and support of the soul collective of all that is.  Enjoy the view.

Now we are doing yoga….
