As a lawyer I would often meet with clients to discuss what they wanted me to do. Typically, I would ask them what they wanted if they had a magic wand that they could use to “correct” whatever situation had brought them to me. Their responses were as varied as the people that gave them, but it helped them focus on what they believed was important.
So now I ask you, if you had a magic wand and could fix humanity, what would you do? Clean up the environment? Stop crime in all its aspects? Feed, clothe and nurture the poor? All worthy responses.
For me it is simply to bring peace and wellbeing to all humanity. If there is peace and wellbeing across the globe, then everything else will fall into place. Ultimately, isn’t that what we all want? Greed, hatred, jealousy, anger are all symptoms of a lack of peace and wellbeing. Correct the cause and the symptoms will go away.
I was reminded recently that as a child I would create a golden sphere of energy that would completely encapsulate me when I was in my bed and afraid. That sphere of energy would repel all things that could harm me and I felt a profound sense of peace and wellbeing inside my cocoon of energy. No one taught me to do this, it came to me naturally. It is a power that we all have. It is a way to “remove yourself” from the pressures we all feel living on this rock. However, it can be much more than that.
My body shut down last month from the stress of living. It does this every 5 or 6 years because I forget to take a break. We all need to take a break from the stress of life, remove ourselves from the situation that is stressful and refocus our goals and intentions. If we don’t actively do it, our bodies will do it for us. My body did it for me, but now I am back and refocused. We all have similar cycles in how we deal with the stress of life. Some of us purge daily, some weekly or yearly. For me it has typically only been when my body forces the situation. Maybe its my protestant work ethic or maybe it’s just me being mule headed.
However, it doesn’t need to be this way. An endless cycle of stress, sickness, reset until our lives are over. How insane is that? Would a loving Creator subject us to this torture? Perhaps this is of our own making and we simply don’t remember how to stop it.
We all have the ability to stop this madness. We have the tools. We just don’t use them because we have been told that we are victims of the stresses in our lives. Others have done this to us and we are powerless to stop it.
Anyone that meditates regularly knows the power to stop this is within us. Even if it is just for a short time, anyone that meditates has removed themselves from the situation and experienced total peace and wellbeing. I didn’t know what to call it at the time, but that is what I did as a child when I was afraid in my bed.
Close your eyes, calm your mind and feel the flow of energy that is your True Self. See the energy as it flows up from your first chakra, through your body and out through the crown of your head before flowing back down to your feet to repeat the cycle. It is a golden white energy that fully encapsulates you in a protective cocoon of vibrant flowing lifegiving prana or Source energy. Create this energy flow for as long as is needed to complete the sphere around you and feel that wonderful warm feeling of peace and wellbeing.
Know that nothing can harm you when you are within this state of being. No negativity, only that which is for your highest good can reach you. You are safe, secure, and a Holy Child of All That Is. You are a part of the I Am. Peace and wellbeing are yours.
Do not leave this meditation without affirmatively stating that you will carry this sphere of protection with you as you move through the day. Repeat this meditation and affirmation everyday until it becomes a part of you. It is infectious. Your state of being will influence others to find peace and wellbeing. As the peace spreads the greed, hatred, jealousy, anger, etc. lessens.
This is your magic wand. This is how we bring peace and wellbeing to humanity.
