There is constant drama in our lives that seem to require constant decisions and judgments about ourselves and those around us. Whether it is hate, love, anger, lust, jealousy, greed …… it doesn’t matter, in the end, it is all the same. It really comes down to two options. Do you choose to live in an ego-based reality or do you choose to live in a divinity-based reality? That’s it. These are the only two choices!
You are divine, it is who you are and nothing can ever change that. It’s one of those absolute truths. However, your ego can change your perception of who you are and make you think you are a separate individual with no connection to the Divine. Your ego can make you think you are alone, trapped in a decaying body that will one day fail and that will be the end of you.
If you choose that reality, be ready for all that comes with it; drama, truckloads of it – there will be no escape. That is what the ego is all about, constant drama in a futile attempt to stall the inevitable – death. Get all you can of money, sex, power while you can because nothing else exists. Is that the way you want to live?
Your other choice is to realize that nothing the ego has to offer is real. None of it will last and none of it is associated with who you really are. Only that which is real can last through eternity. Only that which comes from the Divine is worthy of your energy.
Do I need to say it again? You are from the Divine. You are worthy of your energy.
Not your ego, not all the drama. Walk away from it all and focus your thoughts, feelings, love, and energy only on that which is worthy – your true self. Once you fully accept who you are and where you come from, once you claim your inheritance, the other “reality” fades away.
Which reality is for you? The choice is yours in this lifetime and the answer is within you. No one else can make this choice for you, no one else can tell what is Truth and what is not. The answer must come from within.
Look within for the answer and you will find it. Yoga teaches us to quiet our minds and listen for the small still voice. It is there, waiting for you to realize who you are. When you find the answer, you will know. There will be no outside proof, no textbooks to tell you which choice is right. You will simply know.
