As we head into the middle of the holiday season, you will be exposed to all kinds of messages and teachings from a host of differing sources, most with the best of intentions, but not necessarily truths that are intended for you.   Everywhere you turn, someone is sending you a message on how to live your life better.  Sometimes you just want to lie down in a pile of ice and close your eyes.

However, none of these messages and teachings can be taken as Truth until you test it and apply it to your own journey.  All true knowledge, everything eternal, all things not illusory, are found within and not outside of your being.  The books, the seminars, the study sessions, the church meetings, the workshops, the gurus, the masters, the enlightened ones, this blog, etc… do not give you true knowledge.  They can’t, none of it can because they are all communications that are part of an illusory world where nothing is eternal and therefore not real.

All of these communications and teachings are an imperfect attempt (at best) to translate Truth into a limited 3rd dimensional concept.  That limited concept is then further translated into an even more restricted language that can never properly portray the original knowledge.  Can’t be done.   The message gets watered down and changed by the process of human communication just like the children’s game of whispering a phrase into the ear of the one beside you.  Once it goes around the circle the phrase has changed, sometimes drastically!

Does this mean everything in this and other teachings is crap?  Of course not, it just means that it is not the true source.  It has been filtered along the way.  As such, don’t get too hung up on the exact words or literal translation of the message.  If you do, you risk worshiping phrases and idols.  You risk getting further entangled in the world of the ego of the authors!

All that any of this stuff can do is point you in the direction of Truth.  It can show you the path, help you on your journey, but none of this is the journey itself.  Let that sink in.  The journey is yours, you can’t piggy back on someone else’s journey.

When you take a trip in a car, do you worship the road sign that tells you to turn right to get to your destination?  You may give thanks that someone put it there to help you find the way, but it is soon forgotten as you continue your journey.  Do the same thing with this spiritual journey.

Use whatever comes to you to help you along the way.  Test it all within your being.  Offer it to your Higher Self and ask if  it is useful information for your highest good and whether you should rely on it.  Listen for your answer, trust it and move on.

No special words, prayers or incantations needed.  No smoke or special seating required.  Everything you need to know is inside you.  Trust yourself to know Truth and act on it.  You are a Holy Child of The Universe.  That Light is a part of you.  Source, itself, is not complete without you.  Got anybody with better credentials to trust?

Consider all information, communications, messages, teachings that come to you today, but take only that which resonates with you.  Trust your Higher Self and use that Higher part of you for everything, every decision.  Do this and the Divine Truth, Love and Light will live, grow and radiate from your heart center into this world of illusion.

Do this to illuminate the direction Home for all of us.

Now we are doing yoga….
