There are as many ways to start your journey Home as there are books on the shelf.  Some gurus have their own special method, only they have the key to the door.  The problem, of course, is what if that key doesn’t work for you?  Are you now a failure unworthy to see what is behind the door?

I am reminded of what should be an obvious contradiction but didn’t occur to me for way too long.  Would Spirit/Source/God give you free choice and then immediately judge you on the choice you make?  That would be a bit sadistic, don’t you think?

We all have free choice because not all choices work for everybody.  God forbid, but some people don’t even like yoga!  Hard to believe….

There is an infinite number of ways to open the door Home.  Just use the one that resonates with you.  There is no judgment.  There is no failure.  Some people cringe at the word God.  That’s OK, just use a different word that describes your understanding of the One.  Spirit, Source, Creator, Universe, Mother, Father …….   The word is not important, the thought behind the word is everything.  We communicate with thoughts, intentions.  We communicate with Love, not language.

Now back to that door!  You say the key you have doesn’t work?  Pick up a different key!  Try knocking!!  Make your presence known and you will be answered.

With that said, there are a few ground rules that are essential.  First, you must want to start the process of understanding who and what you are.  You must set an earnest intention to seek the answers to your questions.  Do you earnestly seek to know?

Second, are you willing to commit the time and energy necessary to finding the answers?  If your answer is anything but absolutely, when do we start, go back to rule 1.

That’s it!  There is no right or wrong way to start the process, you just need to start it.  One foot in front of the other.  Trust that you will be shown the way.  Know that you cannot fail.

Now we are doing yoga….
