What if it’s a relay instead of a race? What a novel idea. Life should never be a race. If it were a race, where would you cross the finish line, the grave? Nevertheless, that’s what we all seem to be doing, racing against one another all the way to the grave. Pushing, shoving, and pulling each other down just to get what is ours. Every benefit over our fellow man, no matter how small, counts. After all, those pennies add up over a lifetime.
Maybe I am taking it a bit too far, but you get the point. We race against one another every day. Goaded on by our ego and our pride. What’s the goal? The biggest pot of money? The prettiest corpse? The most awards and honors? The most “significant achievements”?
Put aside the obvious conclusion that none of this matters after we leave this rock. While it is undeniable that all we can take with us from this existence are our experiences, let’s focus today on this life, this existence.
Let’s assume, just for today, that someone got the purpose of life wrong. Not a huge mistake, just a misunderstanding. What if life is not a race at all, with each individual working to better only themselves? What if we should all be participating in a relay instead?
Can you see how that one little tweak, the simply substation of one word changes everything? When we are in a relay, the purpose of this life is for humanity as a whole to work together to raise the collective vibration in Love and Light. No one individual can possibly win anything. A relay is about everyone working together toward a common goal. It’s no longer you against them, now it’s simply us, all of us.
However, most of us have been running a race when we should have been running a relay! And not just any relay, a relay where everyone is on the same team, picking up the baton for a fellow teammate that slipped and lost her way. Giving a helping hand to those in need with unconditional Love, never judging their motives. It’s an event where everyone ultimately learns how to work as One.
So, the choice is to run a race to the benefit of only you and to the detriment of all others or to run a relay where everyone you walk with benefits.
As long as you are here, isn’t the better choice to run a relay with your fellow human beings than it is to run a race against them?
