Have you ever gone to a large swimming pool?  Maybe as a child?  Once you are in the water your perception of others in the water changes.  Right?  Those that may be very athletic on dry land may be uncomfortable in the water.  Some that are overweight are more agile in the water.  Others may display more confidence in the water than dry land.  Still others physical beauty may decrease once they are wet.

The point is that each individual is the same in or out of the water; it’s our perception that changes.  It is as if you move into an entirely different world or reality once you get in the pool.  The pool is not our “natural” state.  Our reaction to everything changes as our perception changes.  Some of us become scared in the water, while others may become bullies.  If you stay in the pool long enough, fear might turn to anger because you sense the change, but are powerless to reverse it while in the pool.  Panic may even occur in some when they forget that they need only step out of the pool to regain the peace and safety that is their natural state.

The world we find ourselves in is nothing more than that pool.  We are here for only a short time, yet it changes our perception dramatically.  The anger, fear, hatred and drama will all go away when we step out of the pool.  It is only then that we can see things from our natural perspective.

Spiritual enlightenment is nothing more than remembering to step out of the pool!  Understanding that this is not our natural state and realizing that we ALL change when we are in the pool will change you forever.  We all “know” at some level that we jumped in this pool and warped reality.  However, we have, for the most part, forgotten that we chose to jump in and we have no idea who we were before we got “all wet”.

As a result, we take ourselves way too seriously in the pool.  No one is who they think they are in the pool.  This explains a lot, doesn’t it?

Go inside, ask your Higher Self for guidance, and remember who you are outside of the pool.  Remember that you can choose to step out of the pool, take a break and jump back in at any time.  It is all up to you.

You cannot be harmed in the pool, but your perception of who you are as well as your perception of those around you is drastically different when you are in the pool.

You cannot make decisions or judgments about anything from the perspective of the pool because everything changes once you step in the pool.  That is why we cannot judge our brothers, our sisters or ourselves!  We are all in the pool and cannot see from the proper perspective.

Whenever you find yourself without  joy and peace, step out of the pool – remember your perception of this world is flawed.  Only your Higher Self, your “life guard” at the pool, can see clearly and therefore choose the proper action to make you whole.

Place all judgment, decisions, and concerns at the feet of your Higher Self and ask for guidance.  The answer will be provided.  Accept it, knowing all knowledge and information that comes from Spirit comes from the perspective that is outside of the madness and chaos of this world.  Only then can you know you are acting for your highest and best good.

You are a Holy Child of God.  Step out of the pool today, if only for a moment, and remember who you truly are.

Now we are doing yoga….
